Thurrock Pool League was established in 2006 and in its first season had more than 400 players through 30 teams register an interest in playing. With such a large interest the first season proved to be a real success with the Annual presentation and dance being attended by more than 300 people, Essex Leisure agreeing to be our main title sponsor for the next four years and Royal Bank of Scotland agreeing to sponsor our League Cup and Plate competitions for the next three years.

The feedback from our members has been great and with so many positives we can only look forward to a bigger and better 2007-2008 season. Acting on the feedback from last season the Doubles competition is making a comeback this season and with more than 120 entries it seems a popular return.

Our league matches are played over ten frames with up to a maximum of two players from each team being able to play twice, matches are played on a Tuesday night and start at 8:00pm.

Competitions are many with a Singles competition, Doubles Competition, 5-Man Mini Team competition, League Cup, Plate Competition, Officers Cup and a Ladies competition. All competitions are played on a Wednesday except for the Ladies competition and the Doubles competition which are played on a Thursday.
